Hi, I’m Antface, a truck driver by trade with a passion for storytelling and game design. By day, I navigate the open roads, but in my spare time, I immerse myself in the worlds of books and video games. Writing has been a lifelong love of mine, and the process of crafting engaging narratives fuels my creativity. Recently, I’ve embarked on a new journey—learning to create video games, where I can combine storytelling with interactive experiences.
While I enjoy the freedom and adventure that come with truck driving, my true calling lies in bringing stories to life and designing immersive worlds. My ultimate goal is to transition from the driver’s seat to a full-time career as an author and video game creator. Each mile I drive and every story I write bring me closer to realizing that dream. For now, I’m balancing my current job with my aspirations, working tirelessly to better myself and take the next big step forward.
My journey as a writer began with a moment of heartbreak and creativity when I was just a child. When I was about seven years old, my beloved dog passed away. The loss was hard to bear, and in an attempt to process my feelings, I wrote a short story about my dog for a school assignment. My teacher, thinking it was a work of pure imagination, praised me for my creativity, saying I had an excellent imagination. While I had written from the heart, that moment planted a seed in my mind—I realized the power of words and the impact a story could have.
From then on, I began to write poems and short stories, often drawing inspiration from the small yet meaningful moments in my life. Writing became my refuge, a way to explore emotions and ideas that felt too big for me to express out loud. Whether it was a whimsical tale about an imaginary world or a heartfelt poem about life, the act of putting pen to paper gave me a sense of purpose and joy.
Even as a kid, I dreamed of becoming a published author, someone whose words could touch the hearts and minds of readers around the world. That dream has stayed with me, growing stronger with time. Each story I write and each idea I explore feels like a step closer to fulfilling that childhood aspiration. Writing started as a way to cope with loss, but it has since evolved into one of the most defining and rewarding parts of my life.
I’d describe my writing style as immersive and emotionally charged, designed to pull readers straight into the heart of the moment. I focus on vivid sensory details and raw, unfiltered emotions to create a connection that feels real. Whether it’s the sting of nails digging into palms or the cool bite of a Seattle drizzle, I want readers to experience the scene as if they’re standing right there with the characters.
My dialogue is sharp and fast-paced, often driving tension or revealing deeper layers of conflict. I like to dig into my characters’ inner thoughts, showcasing their vulnerabilities and struggles in a way that feels authentic. My stories often explore themes of frustration, self-realization, and transformation—moments when someone decides to break free from the cycles holding them back. I aim to balance the grit of real-life challenges with the hope and possibility of renewal.
While I write both fiction and nonfiction, I think my nonfiction preference influences everything I create. Even in my fictional work, I strive for authenticity, drawing on real emotions and experiences to ground the story. I enjoy crafting characters and situations that feel relatable, yet bold enough to inspire change and self-discovery. My writing is about connecting with readers on a deeper level, exploring the messy, intense moments of life, and reminding us all that transformation is always within reach.
